School Field Trips

BRAHM is proud to offer free field trips to all K-12 schools. Nonprofit organizations can be approved for a free field trip or visit upon request.

Benefits of museum field trips include:

  • Enhancing students' critical thinking, observational skills, and historical empathy

  • Introducing students to a wide variety of art media and techniques

  • Learning proper museum etiquette.

  • Helping teachers meet NC Essential and Common Core standards through cross-curricular activities and inquiry.

At BRAHM, guided field trips will address North Carolina Essential Standards in contextual relevancy, critical response, and visual literacy. Depending on the current exhibitions, field trips may fulfill other learning standards in humanities and STEAM subjects. To find lesson plans and resources, click here.
