Blowing Rock 2021 Plein Air Festival
A multi-day plein air painting event in the beautiful mountainous area surrounding Blowing Rock. Its aim is to bring painters together from around the world to paint outside in the fresh air while getting to know each other and sharing their work. The event concludes with a "Wet Paint" Art Show & Sale where collectors and the public are invited to attend the impressive display of Plein Air paintings to both view and purchase the unique works that highlight the incredible beauty of the High Country.
Plein Air Painting with Scott Boyle 2-day workshop
Take your paints outside with North Carolina landscape painter Scott Boyle for a 2-day plein air workshop in beautiful Blowing Rock, NC. The workshop will consist of a brief lecture, group discussions, outdoor painting demonstrations, and student painting opportunities. Scott will paint 2 demonstration paintings and students will have a chance to complete 2-4 paintings each.

2019 Blowing Rock Plein Air Festival
The 2nd Annual Plein Air Festival took place Thursday, May 16th through Saturday, May 18th, 2019. It concluded with a Wet Paint Show & Sale on the evening of May 18th at BRAHM, where the public was invited to view the exhibit of the fresh new works and purchase items for their own collections.
Featured artists of 2019 included: Kevin Beck, Scott Boyle, Catherine Hillis, Jeremy Sams, Dwight Rose
2018 Blowing Rock Plein Air Festival
The inaugural Blowing Rock Plein Air Festival took place July 13 - 14, 2018 and featured artists Mary Dobbin and Dwight Rose.
