Young at Art Student Spectacular

2020 Online Exhibition

Young at Art is a community outreach program designed to augment the art curriculum for kindergartners through fourth-graders at Blowing Rock School.

Once every month, each class visits BRAHM for a lesson about an aspect of art or art history accompanied by a hands-on art project that illustrates the lesson topic.

In Young at Art, students have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media and techniques - from watercolor and tempera paints to collage and drawing - as well as the valuable chance to visit the Museum’s galleries.

At the end of the year, each student has a piece of art displayed in the Museum’s “Young at Art Student Spectacular” exhibition. The exhibition traditionally takes place in the Alexander Community Gallery, however, with the museum closed to the public at this time, we’ve created a digital version of the exhibition.

To show your support and appreciation for these students’ talent and artwork, please feel fee to leave a comment in the space provided below. Thank you for viewing and participating!
