This workshop is a 4 day online workshop. It will take place on 4 Tuesdays in October. Students will receive class links a week before class begins. Video recordings of each class will be available to students for 2 weeks after the classes conclude.

About the Workshop

Explore the fundamental vocabulary and techniques of digital photography while developing your personal artistic vision. You’ll learn how to use your smart phone as a photographic tool, display an understanding of the elements of design, the exposure triangle, and advanced editing techniques through apps. While there will be a focus on technical skill building, we will simultaneously work on developing theories and concepts of students personal vision. By the end of this course students will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in “photographic seeing” and “visual competence” which includes attention to the selection of effective subject matter, crafting compelling compositions and creative problem solving.
