We sat down with naturalist, educator and self-described "botanizer," Julie Mullis, to ask what is her favorite time to be outdoors.

"I think every season has its own tint. I love the trout lilies and the spring beauties and the hepatica and the trailing arbutus and you look for your friends coming up. Sometimes you get a new surprise or you learn something that you just for some crazy reason have just overlooked until you just happened to sit on your belly and say “Woah, what’s this!?”
