This September, 60 artists from across the country will gather in our community for the Blowing Rock Plein Air Festival. Rooted in the tradition of painting outdoors from life, en plain air artists capture the beauty, light, and character of the High Country.

This weeklong festival invites painters to explore and interpret the region’s vistas, gardens, downtown charm, and natural wonders. It culminates in an exhibition and sale here at BRAHM, where juried awards honor artistic excellence. The works currently displayed represent winners from last year’s festival.
