Songs of Freedom: the music of the civil rights movement and their stories
Join us tonight at 6pm for Songs of Freedom hosted by Melissa Edd
This program will feature performances of six songs that were common in protests and marches of the Civil Rights movement. In addition to the music we will hear the stories behind the songs, their writers, and the people named in the lyrics. Lyrics will be available for download from the event page so you can sing along at home
