Patricia Joynes, Mailbox and Yellow Chair, 2021. WFDD Photo of the Week 9/17/21.

“'Mailbox and Yellow Chair', photo was taken on my street in Boone. At a certain time of year, the morning sunrays are spectacular. On this morning, I placed the yellow chair at my mailbox. There was a time when we eagerly waited at our mailbox for exciting news."

BRAHM is excited to host WFDD’s 2021 Photo of the Year exhibition, featuring every WFDD Photo of the Week from 2021. These photos range from scenic views to puppies and butterflies, encompassing a variety of beautiful moments from last year. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite photos, and the winning photo will be awarded 2021 Photo of the Year!

From WFDD’s website:

“WFDD’s Photo of the Year is made possible by the creative and talented community members who share their art with us every week. Every Friday, WFDD chooses a Photo of the Week from listener submissions to highlight in our newsletter and on social media. These photos depict the best of our local community, showcasing personal milestones and moments of joy, reveling in the curiosities and wonder of nature, and capturing shared experiences though we may be hundreds of miles apart.”

Martin Seelig, 2021. WFDD Photo of the Week 2/10/21.

"One of the new foals grazing in Massie Gap as the sun sets in Grayson Highland State Park. The foal is named Cameo and her mom Locket was close by. These feral ponies live in the park year round surviving on what ever grasses they find. I took the photo this year in November as I was leaving after a great day of hiking and photographing the ponies."
